The Sozialversicherung für Landwirtschaft, Forsten und Gartenbau (SVLFG) is a federal corporation under public law based in Kassel in northern Hesse and with 16 other locations. It is the agency responsible for providing agricultural social insurance and combines under one roof statutory accident, health, longterm care, and old-age insurance for around 3.2 million people in agriculture, forestry, and horticulture.
SVLFG was looking for a reliable, two-tier backup system that is easy to administer and can be highly automated. The solution also needed to minimize storage costs and provide ample protection against ransomware attacks.
In a proof of concept, Fujitsu and Veritas demonstrated the benefits of a combination of NetBackup software, appliances, and ETERNUS tape libraries: a comprehensive, userfriendly, and high-performance backup solution.
